Arrival in San Salvador
Dear Children,
The flight was delayed, but we arrived here at 7 pm MST. ES does not change clocks with the US, so half the year they're on CST and other half, MST.
We've got a busy day ahead, so will try to say more later.
All is well!
Love you. Mom and Dad

Missionary Training Center (MTC) Experiences
Today we were taught by the following:
Pres Eyring, Bishop Waddell, Elder Bednar and Elder Rasband. Eleven apostles present, the 7 presidents and several other 70. We had personal conversations and shook hands with the following:
Elder Bednar, Elder Christensen (had dinner with him), Elder Stevenson (married to Lesa Higley, who grew up in my home ward in IF...Jody's age) Elder Clayton (he asked mom to give the opening prayer in our afternoon session...she was nervous), Elder Packer, Elder Nielsen (had lunch with he and his wife...grew up in Burley), Elder Robbins (kind of cool in that he remembered me from the mission and the time we went on splits when he was my zone leader..neat conversation), Elder Zwick, Elder Arnold.
Again, I could not do it any justice to even attempt a recap of what prophet, seers and revelators taught us today. I can tell you that the topic for the entire day was: "Teach Repentance".
Love Dad & Mom

The Setting Apart
The setting apart took place on Wednesday June 22nd. It was a beautiful, hot June day in Salt Lake. Several family members gathered together in the church office building near Temple Square. After a nice family luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, we made our appointment at Elder Cook's office at 2:30pm for the setting apart where each would receive a special blessing of health, success, peace, happiness, strength, and so much more. It was a beautiful occasion. After that took place, a church van picked them up with all their luggage and dropped them off at the MTC for their brief training preceding their arrival in Central America.
